The Mines

The Mines below S-23 Sierpinski, are the lowest level of the facility and are a series of mining tunnels where the facility used to extract the metallic plates that we see all around the tunnels.

This is the location that early into the game Star tells Elster all the Gestalts have been sent to, including Ariane. And the primary objective of Elster to reach in the first half of the game.

Lore

It is believed that the metallic plates with flesh within that we find primarily in Nowhere and are a key part of the main puzzle in Part 8 (Plate of Eternity, Plate of Sacrifice, Plate of Flesh, Plate of Balance, Plate of Love, and Plate of Knowledge) were made using the metal extracted in these mines, however it is not known if the metal naturally has flesh within it or if only after construction of the plates is metal added.

This suggest that the presence of one of the plates (Plate of Eternity) within the butterfly box, could be explained by a KLBR acquiring the plate and sneaking it upstairs to the box.

Areas In The Mines

Using the Debug Menu we can learn what several rooms in the mines are called.

The room we start in is called the Exc Elevator.

We then exit to Mineshaft Access.

Going to the Left of Mineshaft Access is Cavern this is the room we see the Mynah Mining Lasers

The Next Rooms name hasn't been found yet. However it leads off in several directions. Going North East (from the center of the room) you will find Beo.
