Monofilament Fiber is a memory which can be acquired near the end of S-23 Sierpinski, in The Mines.

Monofilament Fiber is an environmental hazard the player encounters in and after entering The Mines, found strung between pillars and blocking the player from direct access. It is implied to be a resource or tool used in mining or some sort of industrial endeavor in SIGNALIS's world.

It is noted to be extremely sharp, dealing a very large amount of damage when the player comes in contact with it. Warning signs in the game note that Monofilament Fiber can cut through flesh and equipment with ease and that workers must use personal protective equipment when working with, around, or directly touching it.
